Tab Trade — What It Is
TabTrade opened in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.
The Software
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, EAs, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Many people find it more natural once they try it.
FIX API is available for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That would be a good addition when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not relevant to typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.
Combine those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Few brokers at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But inform how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.
